We are NSW’s bulk water supplier, river operator and your one-stop shop for licensing, water trades and water information. We supply two thirds of water used in NSW from our 42 dams, rivers and pipelines to regional towns, irrigators, Sydney Water and local water utilities. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Education Officer to join a fantastic team based at Warragamba Dam!

In this role, you will design, deliver and evaluate water quality and catchment management focused education programs, resources and experiences for primary and secondary schools and tertiary students on excursions to Warragamba Dam, whilst putting safety first at all times.

You will be driven to deliver engaging, curriculum linked, teaching and learning experiences using an effective combination of delivery modes (face to face, professional development, resource development and technology) to achieve maximum visibility of WaterNSW educational objectives.

What is essential?

• Demonstrated skills and experience in the face to face delivery of educational programs
• Experience in the development and evaluation of curriculum linked educational resources and an understanding of the current NSW Curriculum and syllabuses
• Understanding of learning theory, learning stages and differentiated instruction
• Tertiary qualifications in Education/ Environmental Science / Social Sciences or related field/s or equivalent experience
• Experience in applying superior interpersonal, communication, negotiation, presentation and conflict resolution skills
• Team-player who is collaborative and reflects upon best practice
• Strong safety focus
• NSW drivers’ licence
• First aid certificate or willingness to obtain
