About the Judicial College

The Judicial College of Victoria (the College) supports the Victorian judiciary to successfully meet the unique challenges of their roles through judicial education, research, and knowledge creation and dissemination.

About the role

The Research Officer is part of the Judicial Information Services Team, which has responsibility for developing and maintaining the currency of College's library of publications and legal resources, as well as furthering the legal policy and research functions at the College. The Research Officer makes a key contribution to this work by researching, writing and updating College publications and resources.

About you

You have sound experience in legal research, with a background in legal practice, academia, legal policy and/or judicial education. You keep abreast of developments in the law through the law reform and legislative process, academic commentary and appellate decisions. You have broad knowledge and understanding of the challenges of the judicial role. Crucial to your success in the role will be your demonstrated experience in writing legal commentary in plain language for publication.
