The Coroners Court of Victoria (CCOV) is an inquisitorial jurisdiction. Its role is to conduct an independent investigation into reportable deaths and fires, for the purpose of finding the cause of those deaths and fires. By its work, the CCOV contributes to the reduction of the number of preventable deaths and fires, the promotion of public health and safety and the administration of justice.
Provide authoritative legal guidance and support to Coroners and other CCOV staff on complex and challenging matters.
Demonstrated ability to manage the conduct of a complex investigation and inquest.
