Senior Project Officer, Jurisdiction Services - Court Services Victoria - GovernmentCareer - State

Senior Project Officer, Jurisdiction Services

Each year the Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) and Children's Court of Victoria (ChCV) manage over 350,000 cases. The court IT systems are outdated, some of which are 30 years old, and no longer meet service expectations or handle the growing community demand. The 2017/18 State Budget provided significant investment to Court Services Victoria for a modern case management system for the two courts, as part of the whole of government response to the Royal Commission into Family Violence.

The CMS Project aims to design and implement a contemporary CMS for MCV and ChCV that supports the ongoing growth of cases, is a one point of entry for all cases in these two courts, and streamlines data capture, business processes and the exchange of information both within the courts and with external parties.

The Senior Project Officer will play a crucial role within the project team and will be critical to the development and growth of the project controls function in the Project Office. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to put their technical project management skill set to excellent use by building strong control processes and assisting project stream leads to develop strong, high quality products (schedules, plans, registers etc) that will ensure the effective day-to-day management of the project.

This is a really exciting opportunity to be part of a great team, to help shape the CMS project from the early stages and be involved in improving the Victorian justice system for the wider community.
