About the role
The position develops, manages and delivers WWF’s engagement strategy with the Queensland Gov’t, and to a lesser extent, the Federal Gov’t. The role secures strong and robust national and state laws and policies that: support threatened species, create a low carbon future, provide sustainable food, protect marine life, and conserve nature with equity, by coordinating political engagement, developing policy positions, ensuring consistent messaging, and building internal advocacy capacity.
Skills, knowledge and experience
A knowledge of environmental conservation issues concerning land clearing in Queensland and tertiary qualifications in agriculture, conservation science, economics, law etc or similar industry experience will be well regarded.
