As a key functional leader in the organisation, the Financial Controller mentors and develops the finance team to partner with the business to deliver service excellence and continued enhancement of accounting systems and processes. A critical requirement is to meet regulatory obligations and support the business to improve financial discipline, develop cross functional financial capability and enhance business efficiency.

Reporting to the General Manager, Business Services, you will lead a small team to ensure sound financial management of the CHW’s assets, investments and operations. Success requires providing insights and analysis that improves business decision making and financial performance.

The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in accounting, financial analysis, budget preparation and management, best practice accounting principles and practice. Additionally, working knowledge of information systems is expected. Highly developed people and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build an internal customer centric service culture are required.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, CPA or CAA are required. Experience gained at management level in a mid-large size organisation is expected and public sector experience, whilst not mandatory, is beneficial.
