Bushfire Risk Planning Coordinator

 

Full time, 2 Year Contract Position


An opportunity exists for an experienced person keen to expand their professional career working across the Goldfields Shires of Dundas (the host Shire), Coolgardie, and City of Kalgoorlie Boulder. You will be based in Norseman and will work across the three Shires  to build an integrated approach to planning for and managing bushfire risk.

Applicants will have excellent emergency management knowledge , understanding the roles and responsibilities of bushfire-related organisations and the important role of Local Government in emergency management.  The right person will be able to work in and with community and will value the knowledge and input of First Nations in understanding and addressing bushfire. 

This is a 2-year fixed contract position, commencing on 01/11/2020. Regional Travel will be required. The Shire of Dundas is an equal opportunity employer, valuing the experience, skills and knowledge of diversity in the workplace. 

SALARY AND CONDITIONS

A Full-time contract position with a negotiated package of up to $150,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications. (housing, utilities allowance, vehicle and mobile phone are included in  the package)
