Details: A career opportunity has arisen in ACT Corrective Services (ACTCS) for an experienced, highly motivated and career-oriented person to fill the position of Team Leader, Detainee Finance (SOGC), in the Business Services Unit (BSU). The successful applicant will be responsible for providing accurate, timely and analytical insight into detainee finance and leading and undertaking transactional process. Further to this, you will report and investigate activities into the detainee finance service provision, analyse and report on business and financial information and support operational activities. The successful applicant will have management of the Alexander Maconochie Trust Account, ensuring financial accounting principles are adhered to. In addition, you will also prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, develop, review and update relevant policies and procedures and, in consultation with operational areas, assist with budget and problem solving to find workable solutions. To be successful, you will be required to demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, in addition to strong leadership and management skills.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting are highly desirable. The successful candidate may be required to undergo a criminal history check. Current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Check) Act 2011 and a current driver's licence is required.
