Clinical Change Manager - Towards Zero Suicide


An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Change Manager to lead Northern Sydney Local Health District in the Premier’s Priority to reduce the rate of suicide deaths in NSW by 20 per cent by 2023.

What you'll be doing 
The Change Manager role will provide expert advice, professional leadership, project management and education on all facets of development of a comprehensive change strategy and project plan and framework to support implementation of the “Towards Zero Suicide Initiatives” across Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD). The Change Manager will take responsibility for the delivery and accountability of the “Towards Zero Suicide Initiatives” project by identifying the milestones, planning, defining the scope and delivery of all phases of the project (in scope):e.g. diagnosis, analysis, solution design, implementation planning and delivery.


Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health related discipline or demonstrated equivalent professional experience in clinical redesign. Understanding and /or qualifications and/or equivalent experience in enterprise risk management principles and application in a health service setting.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in managing all stages of the project cycle in health care settings including planning, change impact assessment, financial management, development of solutions, risk management, implementation, monitoring and ability to manage multiple complex tasks and to effectively lead matrix project teams in achieving required outcomes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, experience and effective delivery of health service projects including workforce management, inter-relationship between models of care, contemporaneous evidence base, innovation and relevant operational policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to give presentations, engage clinicians, negotiate change and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders across all levels of the organisation with proven ability to address change resistance.
  • Demonstrated high level analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to provide authoritative advice and recommendations across a large and complex organisation.
  • Self-sufficiency in computing, specifically word processing, spread sheet and project management applications.
  • NSW Drivers Licence or an ability to effectively negotiate public transport across NSLHD.
