DEPARTMENT:

The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Unit reports through to the Executive Director, People and Culture. The OHS Unit works with managers, health and safety representatives and staff across Alfred Health to make sure everyone is safe at work, supported at work and healthy at work.

POISITON:

Working as part of the OHS Team, the Occupational Health & Safety Business Partner - Hotels has an integral role in implementing and maintaining the Alfred Health Occupational Health and Safety Strategy and Policy. The Occupational Health & Safety Business Partner will:

  • Proactively oversee the delivery of a best practice and supportive Occupational Health and Safety program to Alfred Health
  • Provide leadership and expert mentoring to the Hotels team.
  • Provide expert Occupational Health and Safety advice and support to employees, managers and the executive group.
  • Develop and implement organisational wide Occupational Health and Safety strategies, education, policies and procedures

SKILLS

  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a similar role within an operational environment is highly advantageous
  • Resilience, the ability to learn quick partnered with strong problem-solving skills will set you up for success.
  • Computer literacy and skill, including the proficient use of the Office 365 application, as well as incident report software.
  • Excellent record keeping standards.
  • High level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable

  • Experience in Workplace Training.
