We are seeking an experienced Research Assistant to join our biomedical research laboratory to support our overall research program.

This is an exciting opportunity is to join a small and productive research team focused on the identification of novel drug targets for heart attack and stroke prevention. The team is situated within the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases (ACBD) at the Alfred Medical Research and Education Precinct. The Centre is a leading national and international blood diseases centre with recognised research, treatment and educational programs for blood diseases, and is at the forefront of translational research into blood clotting and blood cancers.

In this role, you will assist research projects by providing a combination of laboratory and administrative support, including collection and processing of human blood samples, experimental work involving common molecular biology, cell culture, and microscopy techniques, and general laboratory management.
