What you'll be doing

The Program Operations Manager Western Renal Service (WRS) acts as a service leader in directing, administering, and over-seeing the day-to-day operations and activities of all programs: Nephrology, Dialysis, Transplantation, and renal supportive care across the entire WRS. The scope includes, but not limited to, chronic kidney disease (CKD) care, centre and satellite dialysis, home dialysis, kidney, and kidney pancreas transplant and renal support care activities, ensuring service delivery and the models of care are of the highest standards. Provides strategic leadership of short and longer-term goals through a collaborative and transparent process with the key stakeholders within WRS, including our patients and consumers. Involves in the development of business plans within WRS, ensuring the operations are within the clinical operating budgets. The Program Operations Manager must have an excellent understanding of the unique requirements of all facilities where the renal services are provided and other client groups, and must use this knowledge to build and maintain a suitable service delivery system for the patients and the communities.

Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated experience in managing a complex service with competing demands for access, throughput, and resources
  2. Demonstrated skills in strategic and service planning, development/redevelopment and policy development
  3. Experience in improving health service delivery based on the change management process with demonstrated quality improvement quality management skills
  4. Highly developed analytical, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills and ability to manage staff from multiple disciplines
  5. Demonstrated financial and resource management skill
  6. Highly developed human resource management skills
  7. Understanding of industrial, legislative, and regulatory requirements in health care
