About the Role
As an integral part of our Security and Infrastructure team, our System Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure.  This includes the packaging and deployment of applications and updates as required for security and business initiatives.

You will assist your colleagues in the Service Desk team as an escalation point and have the opportunity to participate in technical research and development to enable continued innovation.

Role Requirements
To be successful you will need to demonstrate the following knowledge & experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in an IT or business related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
  • System administrator experience in a financial or Government institution
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Experience with implementing, maintaining and supporting a virtualised Microsoft Server environment, inclusive of Active Directory management
  • Exceptional Windows 10 and Microsoft Office development and management skills
  • Experience working in a secure networked environment
  • Experience with software application packaging and distribution (e.g.  AppV and WSUS)
  • Experience with anti-virus software,  the application of patches to prevent viruses, and the remediation of PC's with viruses
  • Experience with Remote Access technologies (e.g. Citrix)
  • Experience managing security gateways and controls, i.e. Firewalls, IDS/IPS, email, and web protection systems
  • Experience managing a collapsed core network (e.g. Cisco UCS)
  • Knowledge of Incident, Request and Problem Management processes, policies and procedures
  • ITIL Service Management Foundation Certification
  • Understanding of security concepts
