Role Outline
The Chief Executive (CE) holds a dynamic and influential role as the visionary leader of South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD). Together with the Board, you will steer the LHD's strategic direction, ensuring robust governance, compliance with statutory mandates, and the delivery of health services that exceed budgetary and performance standards. You will focus on building sustainable community partnerships, fostering valuable stakeholder relationships across the LHD, and oversee the performance of statutory functions, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and financial accountability including budget management.
The Chief Executive provides high level strategic management to address local challenges, optimising resource allocation and day to day operations, and strategically guides the leadership team. Reporting to the Board, you’ll be responsible for championing the LHD Service Agreement, upholding clinical governance excellence, transparent public reporting, and being responsive to inquiries. Collaboration will be at the heart of your role as you work with other LHDs and the Ministry of Health to streamline administrative structures and enhance patient care. Beyond the LHD, you will play a vital role in shaping the broader NSW public health system, responsible for cultivating safe, vibrant, and mutually respectful workplaces within the LHD, fostering an atmosphere of innovation and collaboration.

This is an ongoing, full time, Band 3, Health Service senior executive (HSSE) role. An attractive remuneration package within the range of $426,496 - $474,701 per annum, will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
