  • TCSA Clerk Grade 2/ 3 Salaried Award, starting from $80,083 Annual package (includes base salary $71,926 + plus superannuation & leave loading)

Taronga Zoo Dubbo is seeking a full time People and Talent Coordinator to provide high-quality HR and Talent Acquisition support services to Taronga’s people.

This is an extremely unique role, with an immediate start date supporting both Taronga’s Dubbo and Sydney sites. 

Key Accountabilities…

In this role, you will:

  • Coordinate all Recruitment processes, including maintaining adverts and role descriptions, posting advertisements, shortlisting candidates, scheduling interviews and assessments, preparing employment contracts, and overseeing onboarding activities, with the help of the Talent Lead.
  • Coordinate HR and payroll processes for all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including entering new employees and employee changes into the payroll system and preparing employment letters and documentation.
  • With the help of HR Advisors, provide HR advice to employees and managers and answer enquiries to ensure compliance with HR policies and processes, escalating complex matters to a senior member of the PCS team.
  • Assist with the day-to-day administration of HR systems and people-related data, including the preparation of regular reporting and people metrics and support/administrative services – set up meetings, payment of invoices, minutes, etc.
  • Support the HR Advisors to implement and embed talent management and succession process across Taronga.
  • Prepare and maintain internal people communications for the intranet.
  • Support the PCS Director and the wider team with people and culture related team projects and administration tasks (Monitor project plans, maintaining project documentation, Monitor and track project performance and Oversee reporting and contractual requirements (documentation and invoicing).

About You…

Taronga Zoo is seeking a go-getter; an ambassador with exceptional initiative, passion and drive. You will be:

  • Passionate about people, have strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Customer-focused with excellent verbal and written communication skills and are comfortable engaging both in person and virtually.
  • Experience supporting a HR or Recruitment team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ideally have a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as human resources, business, social science, or organisational psychology.  Experience with HR software, for example, an applicant tracking system or human resource information system is desirable but not essential.
  • Hold a NSW Working with Children Check (you can apply for this at a later date)
