What you'll be doing
The Change Manager is the LHD role responsible for managing, strategising and implementing all change management activities as well as learning and development activities, required to enable clinicians and other staff to implement and adopt the various new and changed components of the clinical applications included in the Enhancing the EMR Project across all sites in the NNSW LHD.

Lead the development of change management and communication plans to ensure all of the new and changed applications are implemented safely and effectively too all clinical staff from all professional groups. 

Implement the Plan’s activities across all sites and services in the LHD. Ensure the complex high impact clinical changes are implemented safely in clinical practice including across shifts outside normal business hours to ensure continuity of care and knowledge transfer between shifts is consistent. 

Work in close collaboration with NSW eHealth-eMR Connect teams, the Vendor, Clinicians, Management and staff to ensure the array of new and changed applications are implemented as designed, to quality specifications, safely and on time and on budget.

  1. Tertiary qualifications in a clinical field, or equivalent clinical work experience or a combination of relevant study and work experience.
  2. Advanced understanding of clinical business processes and organisation structures and highly developed and effective management skills.
  3. Advanced demonstrated experience of change management including planning and execution of CM activities and the ability to describe the best options for use in the Health setting and the reasons why such options would be best.
  4. Advanced demonstrated experience in engaging and negotiating with clinical stakeholder groups to successfully deliver change with clinical applications, such as those included in the eHealth Electronic Medical Record (eMR) program or similar.
  5. Advanced demonstrated ability to efficiently organise multiple tasks with competing priorities, so as to meet project deadlines and maintain positive communications with stakeholders.
  6. Demonstrated experience with using PC applications, including Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook and computerised clinical information systems, e.g. Cerner Millennium (PowerChart/FirstNet /SurgiNet).
  7. Valid and unencumbered NSW drivers licence and ability to drive long distances and stay overnight for several nights at locations other than your base.
