What you'll be doing

Participates as a member of the Southern Sector Mental Health Management team, responsible for: 

  • Effective and efficient management of all teams within the Older Persons Mental Health Service
  • Guiding the delivery of optimal client care through collaborative partnerships with other teams, services and organisations
  • Supporting the Sector Executive in the daily operational activities of the Adult Community Mental Health Service
  • Involvement in the strategic planning, project development and continuous improvement of practice standards and services

  • 1. Qualifications in a mental health related discipline – Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Registered Mental Health Nurse with current AHPRA registration or Social Worker (eligible for membership of AASW), or equivalent experience, as well as extensive experience in Community Mental Health with recent senior management experience.
  • 2. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
  • 3. Demonstrated leadership qualities including the ability to manage performance and lead change
  • 4. Understanding of and commitment to the principles and practices of consumer and family participation within in a recovery framework
  • 5. Demonstrated experience and understanding of the ACHS Accreditation process
  • 6. Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of continuous improvement and clinical service planning
  • 7. Extensive experience in Older Persons Mental Health
  • 8. Demonstrated computer literacy and current class C unrestricted Drivers Licence
