Planning Coordinator – Vegetation & Pest Management

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to coordinate the management of vegetation and pests across our Company’s works. Our network’s automation over recent years has highlighted a need for a new approach to manage vegetation and weeds, to minimise impacts to system performance, ensure the safety of staff and the community and meet regulatory requirements.

The successful applicant will be a motivated self-starter, comfortable interacting with our team members and industry contacts. They will be able to drive a proactive plan and develop and lead implementation on an approach that provides effective management and showcases innovative control methods, while achieving improved financial outcomes and excellent reporting metrics.

Requirements include: relevant tertiary qualifications e.g. in Agricultural or Environmental Science, Agronomy, Natural Resource Management, or relevant industry and field experience; knowledge and experience in vegetation, weed and pest fauna management and regulatory and biosecurity requirements; knowledge and experience with vegetation and pest management plan development and implementation; experience with R&D projects; ability to undertake field data analysis; ability to cultivate good working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders; and a ‘C’ class driver licence. Certificate IV Chemical Risk Management and/or relevant knowledge of Irrigation and/or Agriculture will be highly regarded.

  • Ability and/or experience in developing a vegetation and pest management plan.
  • Experience in monitoring and reporting – including compliance reporting.
  • Ability to undertake field data analysis to assist with management approaches and risk reduction.
