The Account Manager Major Development is responsible for:

  • Being responsible for building positive and productive relationships with developers and their various Accredited Suppliers.
  • Acting as an advocate for Hunter Water’s needs. 
  • Incorporating water-saving initiatives into new developments that contribute to the deferral of new water source augmentation by 10 years. 
  • Assessing, reviewing, commenting, and reporting on development applications, commercial and technical requirements, review of Complex Works designs, ensuring statutory compliance and timely, efficient delivery of services.

This role is full time ongoing with the salary to be paid between $107,076 to $111,000 plus 9.5% superannuation commensurate with skills and experience.  

To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:

Essential

  • Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, or equivalent experience at a senior level.
  • A sound technical knowledge of, and demonstrated skills in interpreting and applying water and sewer design guidelines standards, environmental and general engineering best practice in the water industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a multi-functional frontline customer service team environment.
  • Extensive and demonstrated experience in undertaking complex negotiations with major developers and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated business partnership skills including strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills to achieve positive outcomes for Hunter Water.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.

Desirable

  • Experience in water and wastewater network operations, asset management, design and/or construction.
  • Design, operation and maintenance, or construction of water utility network infrastructure.
