The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Business Support to be part of the South Australian Research and Development Institute within PIRSA. The role reports to the Executive Director, SARDI.

The Manager, Business Support leads the SARDI Business Services Unit. The SARDI Business Services Unit provides a wide range of business and governance support services to management and staff across SARDI.

The Manager, Business Support plays a key role in the SARDI Senior Management team and is responsible for providing high level support to develop and implement the strategic directions of the Division.

The Manager, Business Support is responsible for the delivery of a range of information, advice and reports that support SARDI business objectives. The position maintains critical relationships within SARDI and PIRSA, across government and industry representatives. The incumbent also actively drives and influences corporate culture and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Manager, Business Support is also responsible for managing the performance and development of the Business Services Unit providing a diverse range of services, including Research Infrastructure Services, the Farm Network, Administration, Contract Management, Commercialisation and Partnerships, across metropolitan and regional sites

Special Conditions

  • This is an ongoing role.
  • Some out-of-hours and weekend work, as well as interstate and intrastate travel will be required.
  • A current Class 1 drivers licence is essential.
  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce, Human Resources or related discipline will be highly regarded or significant relevant experience.

Remuneration
ASO8, $114,105 - $118,413 per annum
