SARDI’s programs are designed to increase the productivity, sustainability and adaptability of the state’s agriculture, food and wine, fisheries and aquaculture and bioscience enterprises, create opportunities for market growth, address barriers to growth and provide applied solutions.

The Research Officer (Vegetable Soilborne Diseases) is responsible for fulfilling specific objectives within HIA funded projects and will undertake field, greenhouse and laboratory trials to facilitate the delivery and reporting of research outcomes. The Research Officer is required to supervise casual staff and manage WHS issues as required in the field and laboratory.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Agricultural or Biological Science ideally in soil biology or agronomy.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

This is a contract / term vacancy up to 11/01/2019. Possession of a current driver's licence and a willingness to drive is required. Out of hours work will be required. You will be exposed on a daily basis to allergens.
