About the role

The Insurance Business Unit of WorkSafe Victoria works to ensure claims are managed effectively and injured workers returned to safe and sustainable work.

The role of Contracts Specialist is to support the contractual performance management of WorkSafe’s general and specialist Agent panel along with the development and implementation of initiatives related to Strategic Priorities and WorkSafe’s corporate plan. Working as part of a high performing and collaborative team responsibilities include:

  • Contract management functions and ensuring Agent contractual requirements are met.
  • Analysing and reviewing Agent reports on a quarterly and annual basis while maintaining immaculate records management.
  • Managing oversight and documentation requirements for Agent Contract and Agent Relationship team, including Agent communications.
  • Management of the annual Recognition of Excellence Awards.
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively across the Insurance Business Unit to identify and respond to emerging Agent performance issues as they arise.
  • Delivery of key project milestones and adhering to tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and provision of innovative solutions.

About you

To be successful in the role you will have demonstrated ability to organise and deliver outcomes in a timely manner. Your communication and negotiation skills are highly developed as stakeholder engagement is key within the role.  You will also possess:

  • Strong analytical and influencing skills with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Specialist understanding of the WorkSafe Victoria scheme preferred.
  • Ability to work in a flexible and ambiguous environment while working to tight timeframes.
  • Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated experience in Novus and ACCtion systems.
