Health, Safety and Wellbeing Support Officer

About the role

Working in a team based environment, the Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Support Officer provides project and administrative support as well as services to enhance and maintain the wellbeing offerings to our people at WorkSafe.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

  • Coordinate and manage staff benefits, including providing high level support to all employees to advise on employee benefits and the WorkSafe wellbeing program.
  • Coordinate the renewal of contracts for wellbeing service providers within the procurement framework.
  • Identify opportunities and develop recommendations to improve project outcomes.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify gaps and/or opportunities for wellbeing service development and innovations within the organisation.
  • Assist in drafting and coordinating internal and social media communications.
  • Maintain and manage Intranet feeds, face-to-face and group presentations, noticeboards, and other wellbeing-related information.
  • Manage the receipt and payment of invoices from providers, including purchase orders, within the procurement framework.
  • Coordinate all preparatory activities related to the facilitation and administration of the Health & Safety Representative Committees.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Demonstrated experience in liaising with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong organisational skills, with ability to prioritise and adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of Wellbeing and Safety in Australia.
  • Basic understanding and ability to manage financial accounts.
  • Ability to be flexible and agile to work within a mobile and changing work environment.
