Records and Information Management Officer

About the role

  • The key purpose of this role is to partner with the business to provide expert records and information management advice, support and consulting services, whilst driving the continuous improvement of recordkeeping activities across the organisation. Support the continuous improvement of records management activities in line with WorkSafe 2030 strategy
  • Develop and implement business specific processes with a key focus on improving service delivery and increasing the utilisation of digital media solutions (EDRMS and Content Management solutions)
  • Support the effective design, development and implementation of business solutions and associated tools, with a focus on driving user accessibility and collaboration in the records management space
  • Provide specialist technical advice to the Manager, Corporate Records in relation to the long term strategic application of the Electronic Document Records Management System (EDRMS)

Skills & experience

  • Bachelor of Information Management (records management and archives), or extensive experience at a senior level in records management
  • Extensive experience in the operation and maintenance of Micro Focus Content Manager (formerly known as HP TRIM and HPE Records Manager) and associated add-ons
  • Experience providing expert advice and analysis on the implementation, configuration and ongoing management of an EDRMS (electronic document records management system)
  • Extensive knowledge of current recordkeeping and information management practices and principals, in electronic format as well as developing trends in data management
  • Proven ability to support the effective rollout of an organisation wide digital solution in the form of an EDRMS or similar content management systems
  • Exposure to change management principles and practices
  • Experience with archiving and disposal sentencing
  • Ability to manage and / or undertake assigned projects (small or large) to completion within agreed timeframes and resources to the expected level
  • Proven ability to draft appropriate documentation including business cases, briefing papers, publications, process maps and presentations
  • Advanced conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills including ability to solve problems outside previous experience by applying models and concepts.
  • Experience with SharePoint and Office 365 preferred
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a focus on Customer Service
