  • VPS 3.1 $63,629 -  $70,445 p.a plus 9.5% superannuation (fixed term until June 2019)
  • VPS 4.1 $78,773 - $89,375 p.a plus 9.5% superannuation (fixed term until June 2019)
  • VPS 5.1 $90,890 - $100,429 p.a plus 9.5% superannuation (fixed term until June 2019)
  • Opportunity to work on a range of policy challenges in air, water, waste, noise, contaminated environments, legal policy and regulatory reform.
  • Carlton location

Policy & Regulation Unit is seeking multiple officers across a range of classifications (VPS 3, 4 and 5) in fixed term positions.Policy officers are responsible for the development of good regulatory policy for EPA and the Victorian Government, including development and reviews of EPA legislation, regulations, statutory policy, other instruments and guidance material.

Policy officers contribute to different aspects of policy development including:

  • Problem identification and analysis
  • Option analysis and strategic advice
  • Solution design and legislative solution design

Preferred candidates will have interest and/or experience in strategy/regulatory/legislative/policy design, systems thinking, implementation and evaluation. You should have strong analytical and problem solving skills and verbal and written communication skills. You should and enjoy being part of a team working on complex problems across a range of stakeholders. We are looking for lateral thinkers, fast learners, and people focused on getting the job done.
