Learning and Development Support Officer

About the role

This is a great opportunity to kick start your Learning and Development career! The Learning and Development Support Officer contributes to a broad range of L&D activities within the People Operations Unit of the Department of Parliamentary Services. Reporting to the Senior Learning & Development Consultant, the successful applicant will provide administrative support and be responsible for scheduling training and events, managing room bookings and ensuring appropriate resources are available such as, training manuals, catering and audio visual equipment as required. They will respond to L&D queries from various stakeholders and be responsible for maintaining the Parliament's learning management system (LMS) including uploading of new courses, enrolling staff on courses, and reporting on completion rates.

The successful applicant will work within a larger People Operations team which encompasses Learning and Development, People Services and Pay Services. We are a busy, yet social, close-knit team where collaboration is key to our success.

About You

You will have demonstrated experience in an administrative role with excellent attention to detail and an ability to effectively prioritise and manage competing tasks in a fast-paced environment. Your proficiency in the Microsoft suite of programs and work-place based systems/databases will enable you to support the Senior Learning & Development Consultant to produce complex reports, spreadsheets and presentations. Your strong interpersonal skills will be the key to your success in this role and will ensure that you liaise with tact and sensitivity across all levels of the organisation.

Recent Human Resources graduates (or similar fields) are encouraged to apply.
