Senior Manager Channels

  • Lead a newly created digital communication team
  • Build digital literacy and capability uplift
  • Support enterprise transformation

As Victoria's only state-wide health service, Ambulance Victoria (AV) occupies a unique role in the public health system. Last year, almost one million people experiencing a health emergency called on us for help.  We continue to evolve our service to meet the growing and increasingly complex needs of Victorians, to connect every patient to the right pathway of care - often hospital emergency, but increasingly not. The Communications & Stakeholder Relations division has recently restructured to better support AV's journey to becoming a modern, digitally connected ambulance service.

About the role

Reporting to the Director Communications (Employee and Digital), the Senior Manager Channels leads a team of four digital communications practitioners. This role is responsible for the management and use of AV digital communications channels, the creation and distribution of compelling content, the optimisation of channels and content performance, and ensuring the digital communications team leads the development of a digital-first mindset for communications within AV. This role leads a newly-formed team with accountability for delivering measurable improvements in the engagement of AV's people and stakeholders on issues of strategic importance to the organisation.

About you

You are an accomplished and tertiary-qualified leader with industry-leading knowledge and experience in digital communications, content, and channels performance. A strategic thinker who can translate organisational goals into clear direction for your team, you are passionate about digital technology, embrace the detailed technical work required to set up new channels or evolve existing ones, and are as comfortable speaking with ICT as with any of your non-technical stakeholders. Your work history demonstrates your ability to deliver change in large and complex organisations. While you are a natural collaborator, you have no hesitation in stepping in to lead when circumstances demand it. Alongside your technical skills, you are a committed people leader who sets high standards and communicates respectfully.

For further information, please contact Thomas Hunter, Director Communication (Employee and Digital) on 0412 800 988.

As a valued member of AV, you will enjoy being part of a high performing and professional team environment that recognises the importance of work/life balance.  We offer salary packaging options, generous personal leave entitlements, accrued days off for full-time roles, and other benefits.

This position is graded at AV6. The AV grade salary range for an AV6 position is $144,341 to $165,712 plus 9.5% superannuation.
