We are seeking a Cloud Security Administrator to provide expertise to support cloud project implementation, cloud operational support and cyber security controls and protection measures to all aspect of AVs Public Cloud with a specialist focus on performing regular reviews on cloud security posture and mitigating identified risks and issues. 

Having recently rebranded from ICT to Digital & Technology Services (DTS) and launching our Cloud and Infrastructure strategy, this position, in collaboration with all members within the division will provide continuous improvement across various initiatives enhancing technology capabilities to champion AV's Modern Digital Workplace strategy. 

As key member of the Digital Technology and Services Department (DTS), this is a full time, permanent position currently based in our Blackburn North office with hybrid working arrangements available. 

About the role 

Reporting to the Senior Lead Cloud Technology, the responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: 

  • Provide high level technical support of cloud computing environment by supporting the management and implementation of cloud services as well as Identify and resolve security issues using cloud tools like Azure Advisor, Sentinel and Security Score to maintain a secure cloud posture.
  • Monitor and respond to complex technical cloud issues using a variety of tools and techniques and provide internal analysis and support to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.
  • Prioritise work and provide in depth analysis, to address and identify threats, vulnerabilities, identify solutions and monitor and track activities, ensuring resolution completion.
  • Generate reports to assist audit requirements and maintain compliance with financial, procurement, contract management and people policies and processes.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with technical support staff across the various functional domains to achieve a collaborative resolution to public cloud issues within their areas. 

About you

To be considered for this position you will possess: 

  • A postgraduate degree or relevant industry certification with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and high-level relevant experience.
  • Technical experience in Azure Public Cloud Teams and experienced with DevOps processes and tools for mature cloud practices (Bicep and / or Terraform).
  • Experience with implementing, configuring, and maintaining MS Azure Security Services, including Azure Firewall, MS Sentinel, Azure Bastion, Azure DDOS, Azure AD, Web Application Firewall, Network Security Groups, Azure Role Based Access Control and Database Security controls.
  • Experience with addressing security controls and audit issues and working within a large Enterprise organisation, Emergency Services and/or Health Services.
  • Outstanding established written and verbal communication skills and proficient use of Microsoft applications.
