Adult Retrieval Victoria (ARV) is part of Ambulance Victoria (AV) and provides state-wide clinical coordination, retrieval and critical care services, including Major Trauma transfers. ARV is currently seeking applications from qualified Critical Care Registered Nurses (CCRN) to fill a number of casual positions located at South Melbourne.
About the role
Reporting to the Director, ARV, CCRN's provide for the safe acute inter hospital transfer of critically ill patients from the receiving hospital to the destination hospital. Successful applicants for these positions will provide both case coordination assistance and intensive care nurse level retrieval care (both independently and with doctor), and will be supported by a comprehensive induction program.
Successful applicants will be Registered Nurse Division 1 with current AHPRA registration, hold a post graduate qualification in Adult Critical Care and/or Emergency nursing practice, at least 5 years' experience (post qualification) in a critical care or emergency setting, be current in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and possess a full Victorian Drivers Licence. Applicants with previous experience in the field of critical care/high acuity medical retrieval, and are qualified to work in the Ambulance industry are strongly encouraged to apply.
