About the role

Major Projects Integration (MPI) works closely with the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority (CRRDA), Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), TransLink, and internal stakeholders to prepare and support the business and employees for the successful integration of Cross River Rail into our organisation.

The Cost Control Officer (AS5) will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of major projects by ensuring effective cost management and financial performance reporting of Major Projects Portfolio.

You will work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals, including project teams and finance specialists to perform detailed cost allocation, insightful financial/variance analysis, identify and communicate cost risks, and monitor project commitments and budgets.

Employment Type/Remuneration: This is a fixed term (ending 21/02/2025)fulltime position, based in Brisbane CBD with a starting base salary of $108,869 (pro-rata) plus 12.75% superannuation and hybrid work options to support the balance between work and personal commitments.

What we’re looking for:

  • A highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with an accounting background or strong understanding of financial accounting principles.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, project environment, effectively working independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Proficiency with financial and project management systems; in particular, SAP R3 Financial Reporting, Projects Module, and Business Warehouse.
  • Clear and concise communicator with the ability to present complex financial information to different audiences.

The successful candidate may be required to work outside normal hours and attend further training as required.
