Media Adviser

We looking for a highly organised individual with outstanding communication skills to join their fast paced, friendly, dynamic team of professionals in their Corporate and Customer Relations Media Team. This role is fixed term  until February 2019 with the possibility of a longer term extension.   

This critical role requires an exceptionally high attention to detail, the ability to write with confidence and diplomacy in a fast-paced, solution focussed environment to ensure Queensland Rail's  Corporate reputation is enhanced by delivering media relations activities.

We are looking for a team player who has a positive and energetic attitude who can demonstrate the ability to work autonomously under pressure within tight timeframes and keep a level head in stressful situations.  

Your strong background in communications developing media correspondence at the highest level will be complimented by your consistent, concise and effective business writing skills. This role is extremely busy and would suit someone who thrives working in a fast paced environment who has a keen interest working within the political environment.

  • High level of skills in providing strategic communication advice, including developing, implementing and evaluating programs to support business initiatives in a commercial environment.
  • High level interpersonal and communication skill, including media liaison, consultation and advisory skills.
  • High level of written communication skills including preparation of speeches, media releases, newsletters and fact sheets.
  • High level of skill to manage multiple projects in a timely manner and within budget if required

A tertiary degree in a communication-related discipline would be highly advantageous in this position.

This role may require working outside of normal business hours on occasion.

Starting Salary $90,000 plus Superannuation  (Pro Rata)
