Salinity and Irrigation Project Officer - [Archived Advertisement]

The Mallee Catchment Management Authority is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to lead a number of strategic projects aimed at better managing salinity in an irrigated and semi-arid landscape.

The position of Project Officer, will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the strategic objectives of the Salinity and Irrigation Unit of the Mallee Catchment Management Authority (CMA). 

This role will be responsible for delivering a range of projects and contracts with a particular focus on irrigation and groundwater processes; water use policy and marketing mechanisms; and the salinity management framework employed in the Mallee region.

Tertiary qualifications in Agricultural Science or Natural Resource Management (NRM); and three to five years demonstrated experience in all aspects of project management in NRM or other related discipline are required to undertake this position.   

This position is available on a fixed term 24 month basis (extension subject to funding). The position is classified from Band 7 – 8 with a salary range of $63,941.04 to $80,358.10 dependant on qualification and experience, plus 9.5% superannuation.
