We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and skilled professional to join our Water for the Environment team.

The North Central Catchment Management Authority protects and enhances the integrity of our catchments, by working in partnership with communities to deliver enduring natural resource management outcomes.

The Project Officer will undertake the planning, delivering, and monitoring of water for the environment with the aim to rehabilitate and maintain high value wetlands and river systems mostly within the Cohuna and Gunbower area, of the North Central CMA region in collaboration with their team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or person with one to two years’ experience to contribute to understanding the condition and response of wetlands and waterways to water for the environment. This position will be instrumental in engaging with the local community and with traditional owners to ensure local expertise and knowledge is incorporated in the planning of water for the environment.  

The successful applicant will demonstrate a passion for the environment and collaborating with community, with an understanding of ecological and hydrological processes relevant to wetland and river ecology.
