About the role

We have an opportunity for a Manager Cyber Security Operations Centre - Information & Cyber Security, Digital Technology & Innovation team. The Manager Cyber Security Operations Centre will provide direction and support to a team responsible for operational responses to Cyber Security Threats, Events and Incidents. This role will be key to ensure the appropriate policies, procedures and technology are in place to ensure that NSWPF is effectively delivering appropriate policies, procedures and technology are in place to ensure that NSWPF is effectively delivering against Events, Alerts and Actions as a feed for the Security Event & Incident Management (SIEM) process. Through the collation of External Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability & Threat assessments, appropriate Security Benchmarking and Research will assist in Managing & Resolving cyber Events and Incidents.

Essential requirements 

  • Obtain and maintain the requisite security clearances for this position. 
  • Minimum of 5 years in an information security manager role
  • Demonstrated experience in information security strategy and policy management
  • Strategic acumen and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn findings into executable plans

Target Question 1:

Describe your experience in managing and coordinating response to cyber security investigations, incidents, changing threats and vulnerabilities across a large and information sensitive organisation.

Target Question 2:

Describe your experience in building capabilities of a cyber security team in both a short term (30-90 days) and long term context (2-4 years).
