Senior Business Systems Analyst (SAP) - Business and Technology Services

The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for analysing business requirements and configuring systems to ensure that the solutions being implemented are fit for purpose and align to organisations goals, regulatory requirements and ICT strategies.
 
Key accountabilities
  • Develop a strong understanding of business processes and support technical solutions across multiple applications. Unclassified Senior Business Systems Analyst.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects using various Project Management principles, techniques and common project delivery methodologies.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders to ensure the on-time delivery of solutions relating to any change requests, issues or defects.
  • Manage permanent and/or ad hoc teams to ensure project outcomes are always achieved.
  • Ability to provide and negotiate options, recommendations and solutions in a timely and constructive manner.
  • Collaborate with appropriate business units and developers on requirements gathering, solution design and implementation of technical solutions.
  • Build positive relationships and provide training and/or mentorship to junior staff ensuring the team remains motivated.
  • Effectively collaborate with both internal staff & External vendors to develop/configure/enhance existing business applications. 
Key challenges
  • Ensuring that existing systems / programs are fully supported during planning, development and maintenance phases for new applications.
  • Effectively managing and prioritising multiple change requests, projects & user queries while working with various internal & external stakeholders ensuring reliable and accurate information is available to stakeholders at all times.
  • Demonstrating proactivity, showing initiative and having the ability to participate in a variety of complex ICT projects in an environment with numerous stakeholders and tight timeframes.

JOB NOTES:
 
This role is part of the SAP functional team which is responsible for supporting SAP finance related Issues/Change requests/Projects covering processes within General Ledger, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Account Receivable, Controlling, Budget, Cash Management, Travel, Workflow and their integrations.
 
Essential Requirements - applicants must:
  • have tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent industry experience.
