About the NSW Rural Fire Service

The NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) is the lead combat agency for bush fires in NSW. Working closely with other agencies we respond to a range of emergencies including structure fires, motor vehicle accidents and storms that occur within rural fire districts.

Our vision and mission is to provide a world standard of excellence in the provision of a community-based fire and emergency service. To protect the community and our environment we will minimise the impact of fire and other emergencies by providing the highest standards of training, community education, prevention and operational capability.

Manager Enterprise Architecture (1 x full time ongoing role)

Location: Sydney Olympic Park - NSW RFS State Headquarters

Level: NSW RFS Level 12/13 (Remuneration package up to $164,392).

Package includes salary ($129,814 pa - $150,130 pa), employers superannuation contribution and annual leave loading.

The primary purpose of the role is to build a holistic view of the organisation’s ICT strategy, processes, information and information technology assets, so that the business requirements and ICT are aligned and linked to corporate level planning and organisational objectives.

This is a rare opportunity to join a leading NSW State Government department at the leadership level; and a fantastic opening in a growing and highly strategic ICT function, where the successful candidate will have influence and decision making ability to drive change across the organisation.

This role is an opportunity to work in a complex, and growing ICT environment where 24 hour systems are continually in operation. You will report directly to the Director of Information Communication Technology.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to clearly demonstrate the following:

- Demonstrated experience operating at the Enterprise level within a complex ICT environment.

- Proven capability to communicate, manage and engage with stakeholders at the corporate level, as well as leading a team of professionals.

- Experience in overseeing the successful delivery of enterprise wide architecture strategies.

- Strong leadership ability.

- Enterprise wide integration architecture experience in a project based environment would be highly desirable.
