The RFS is a purpose driven organisation, supporting more than 72,000 dedicated volunteers to protect their communities and proactively working to prepare for, prevent and protect from the impact of bush fire and other emergencies. We consider ourselves a family that supports each other and our own – and will provide flexibility for the right person; noting that the role is predominantly office based and there are times we must prioritise our emergency response. When you join the RFS, you know you are part of something special, with a true ethos of delivering for our community and working collaboratively to improve outcomes.

  • Leadership of the ICT function to deliver a modern, customer centric service for members, from in-field operations to support for strategic decision making within the RFS State Headquarters
  • Delivery of an integrated ICT environment that supports organisational priorities and business requirements, and delivers the RFS ICT strategy
  • Engagement and communication with key stakeholders including the RFS Executive, vendor partners and other Government agencies to strategically position ICT to deliver effectively for members and the organisation
