You will engage in clinical practice as determined by the Head of Unit Ophthalmology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Contribute to the day to day care of outpatients and inpatients under the supervision of nominated Consultant Staff, you will ensure a high standard of clinical practice. Participating in relevant research activities, you will contribute to the conduct of ophthalmology clinical trials related to the specialty. As part of your role, you will also participate in departmental teaching and provide support to junior medical staff within the Department. You will also be required to participate on the after hour's on-call roster on a regular basis. You will need to hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery or an equivalent degree, and be registerable with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA). Demonstrating a high standard of clinical practice in the relevant specialty, you will also display a high level of professional integrity and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. Prior experience in supervising junior medical staff will hold you in good stead for this role.
