You will participate in responding to the health burden created by domestic and family violence by providing expert medical advice and guidance within a multidisciplinary team. This will include providing clinics for consumers with women’s health issues including health care in response to domestic violence. You will liaise with other service providers, both internally and externally, who work with women in relation to their medical care to ensure effective outcomes are achieved in line with the WHS Model of Care. Undertaking education and research as required, you will participate in and encourage/support team work among staff for optimal client service outcomes. You may also be responsible for providing and coordinating effective safety and quality processes. Holding a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, you will be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner. Demonstrating advanced skills and clinical excellence in clinical practice within a primary health care setting, you will be competent in undertaking complex duties including working with women from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, refugee and disadvantaged backgrounds. You will also need to be capable of working autonomously and under limited supervision.
