Grief and Loss Coordinator

- Indicative Total Remuneration*: $99,495 - $105,471 (pro rata) - PO3; $102,482 - $109,204 (pro rata) - AHP3 - Temp P/T (18.75 hrs p/wk, up to 27/8/2023)
You will deliver consultation and coordination of family grief and loss support services, including direct therapy services, to children, their families and communities referred to the Paediatric Palliative Care Service. This will involve developing, project managing and participating in the development of grief and loss programmes for the service. As the Coordinator, you will be expected to initiate and participate in the planning, promotion and maintenance of research and ongoing planning and evaluation of the Paediatric Palliative Care Service, as well as establishing and facilitating a Bereavement Hub for the Women’s & Children’s Health Network. You will also deliver and promote education and practice knowledge in the field of grief and loss therapy to children, their families and communities living with life threatening illness. To be successful in this role, you will have prior experience in conducting psychological assessment and intervention with children, young people and families experiencing emotional, behavioural and/or cognitive difficulties. You will also need to be competent in service provision within a multidisciplinary and inter-disciplinary setting and across a range of agencies. Along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) to ensure effective consultation and liaison, you will demonstrate resilient self-care practices working to support families facing adversity.
