A reshuffle of the Queensland Cabinet has resulted in a new Minister for Transport, Annastacia Palaszczuk.

 

Ms Palaszczuk  retains her previous portfolio, Multicultural Affairs.

 

The reshuffle has also resulted in Deputy Premier Paul Lucas becoming Attorney-General, Minister for Local Government and Special Minister of State, while Treasurer Andrew Fraser will also take on the role of Minister for State Development and Trade.

 

Minister Geoff Wilson will take on the Health portfolio and Cameron Dick will take on the role of Education Minister, as well as retaining his Industrial Relations portfolio.

 

Premier Anna Bligh will take on the new role as Reconstruction Minister, and has passed the Arts portfolio on to Rachel Nolan, who has also been given the new portfolio of Finance.

 

As Finance Minister, Ms Nolan will be responsible for Government Owned Corporations, Queensland Investment Corporation and Queensland Competition Authority, as well as Regulatory Reform and Insurance.
