New South Wales government is embarking on significant reforms in water management and at the same time is overseeing multi- billion dollar investments in water infrastructure across the state. To deliver this, DPI Water has been created and is currently building its leadership team, as such the Department is seeking to appoint a Director Water and Sewerage Regulation to join its new executive team in reshaping DPI Water.

The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for the regulation of regional NSW water and sewerage services. The team provides regulatory advice and assistance to owner/operators to ensure compliance with legislation, approvals for proposed water and sewerage infrastructure ensuring that they are fit for purpose and provide robust, safe, cost-effective solutions to meet public health and environmental requirements,  and undertake comparative assessment of key performance indicators for local water utilities.  The role will serve as a primary advisor to the NSW State Government on water and sewerage services.
