What you'll be doing
This position will develop Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network’s Organisational Development function and provide strategic direction and overseeing management of key workforce areas including Leadership Development, Talent Management, Employee Engagement, Workplace Culture, Change Management, Diversity and Inclusion, Performance Appraisal, Employee Recognition and Aboriginal Employment. The position leads the development and delivery people processes, systems and interventions which enable the organisation to deliver both strategic and operational objectives.

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Organisational Development, and/or Change Management and/or HR Strategy or relevant business degree and/or extensive experience with demonstrated practice leadership in setting strategic directions and developing and implementing high-level organisational development, leadership development and talent management, change management and employee engagement and workplace culture in a complex organisational environment.
  2. Proven ability to be creative and influential in developing innovative strategies that meet the diverse needs of a range of stakeholders.
  3. Demonstrated ability to apply planning and coordination skills in the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans.
  4. Experience in research and information analysis, with the ability to apply this knowledge to organisational development/change management and workplace culture challenges to deliver practical and sustainable solutions to the organisation.
  5. Extremely effective interpersonal skills in negotiation, persuasion, motivation and communication, which demonstrate the capacity to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholder groups at all organisational levels.
  6. Demonstrated experience in the provision of supervision and mentoring to direct reports, as well as providing high-level coaching to senior and executive level staff around organisational development and culture change initiatives.
  7. Demonstrated experience in monitoring the organisational health and workplace culture systems and programs to determine effectiveness and the ability to identify emerging risks or trends and mitigate/capitalise as required.
  8. Exceptional organisational skills and demonstrated ability to deliver team leadership in a high volume work area that models the organisation’s core values and enables effective collaboration and team work.
