Team Leader, Remote Community Mental Health Team

- Indicative Total Remuneration: AHP3 $110,755 - $118,560 p.a; RN3 $124,475 - $131,441 p.a - Ongoing Full Time
In this newly created role, the Team Leader, Community Mental Health Remote Team will in partnership with consumers, carers and the community, develop and implement mental health pathways for remote communities across Eyre and Far North Local Health Network. The Team leader will, in partnership with the Director, EFN LHN Aboriginal Health, lead the Remote Community Mental Health team in the provision of services to remote communities, with a special focus on Aboriginal Communities. You will be required to work remotely across the EFN LHN.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Establishing the new EFN LHN Remote Community Mental Health Team
- Design and implement remote mental health pathways of care
- Manage day to day business of remote clinical team
- Working with remote Aboriginal communities
To be appointed at the RN/RM3 level, you will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate, and hold a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent). You will also need to have at least 3 years post registration experience and have demonstrated competence in the mental health nursing in accordance with the relevant standards. To be appointed at the AHP3 level, you must hold a recognised qualification within the professions of Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Psychology. Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Screening/Check and specific immunisation requirements.
